Have you ever been caught in perception?  Where you felt like everything had to be picture perfect?  Your life, your family, your children, your spouse, your house, your job….  The list goes on and on.  I have and it is EXHAUSTING!  It is exhausting because the picture from the world is a never ending list of expectations of what PEOPLE MIGHT THINK of what is perfect!  If you find yourself saying yes today, ask yourself – why?

Who are you trying to impress? What stage are you performing on?  I heard a woman the other day say that she can determine the statue of another woman within 30 seconds.  How interesting!  This person was not discerning, but was making determinations based on appearance, culture and body language.

Unfortunately this happens all the time. My question to you is – who are you living for?  If you are living for God - you are on the stage for an audience of ONE – the Triune God.  If living for God – then the eyes in which our picture perfect vision will be supernatural.  Your vision will focus on the matters of the heart and not the lust of the flesh.

So if you don’t have what qualifies in this natural world as picture perfect but God can say he is well pleased – that is ALL THAT MATTERS.

Set your affections on things above, for where your heart is there your treasures lie!   (Matthew 6:18-20)

Remember ONLY what you do for Christ will last!

Yours in Christ,
